• I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while being that I’m experienced with lifestyle clubs. I went on a Thursday which wasn’t busy at all, there were just a handful of people ages 20’s to 40’s and they were not bad looking. I would recommend going on a Friday or Saturday. There are 3 floors with areas to play, the 3rd level was closed that night but I was able to view and it had a VIP vibe. The play areas were clean but I didn’t see any showers visible. There’s a full bar (drinks were strong😁), music and a dance floor on the ground level, for single ladies it was cheap to get in, I payed for an evening membership at the door, I think it was only $20. The next time I’m in Portland on a Friday or Saturday I will be back.
• It was a phenomenal night. It was my first time, and even for a single guy, I had a blast and had fun talking to lots of interesting people. Have a little courage to go talk to people, but almost everyone was friendly. Safe, clean, and fun. It's not a cheap place, but it looks like that keeps the quality of service high.
• We were regulars pre-covid and loved Privata. We started going back this past year and it's been sooo disappointing. We've reached out to them via email, we've talked with H&C at the club about a few of these, we put up questions on Kasidie (which were suspiciously removed), but nothing has changed. Recently we discovered on Reddit that these are common concerns that are being ignored (and that other reviews outside of Reddit disappear). Things they could change if they wanted to: 1. Music is horrible and played at ear-piercing volumes. 2. Dress code is not enforced (these are not themed nights). 3. Club is freezing cold. 4. They do not limit to only 10 single men. 5. The second floor VIP area took away one of the best spots in club. There are more, but these seem so easy to change. Without these changes, that they could control, it has resulted in a club that is, frankly, trashy. It's like TVR was before their remodel. There are content creator cliques that run the place and if you're hot, they treat you like you're in a high school Mean Girls scene. They dance floor smells like body odor, axe body spray, and mildew. That dance floor is also a dangerous place to be if you are not 200lbs or more, man or woman. You will get stepped on by boots (work or cowboy), you will get pushed away by the Mean Girls clique, and you will get hit on, and possibly groped, by the swarm of single guys. And the only reason small women go onto the dance floor at this point, and risk it, is because it's so freaking cold. Because of the music (horrible selection and too loud to hold a conversation), funky smells, swarm of single guys, freezing cold areas downstairs, and no good spots left on the second floor thanks to the vip area, everyone stampedes up to the third floor when it opens at 11:30 – there is a line each night at the stairs starting around 11:15. When you do get up stairs, you find that there's a group of regulars who are already saving spots and taking over the couches and demo area. By 11:45pm you will see a steady stream of hot, upscale couples walking out. By 12:30 all that is left are the regulars and few newbies determined to get their moneys worth. The only saving grace to Privata is the staff. They are wonderful. Overall, we no longer recommend Privata to friends. There are far s*xy, safer, and fun places to go in Portland.
• I dont wear my money ever, so I was expecting a lot of dirty looks and rolled eyes but everyone was extremely respectful, enjoying themselves, smiles everywhere, as Im typing this I'm realizing there wasnt a single argument, no one had a sourpuss (ugh, poor choice of words… wore! no one wore a sourpuss) uhh… anyway, no sad or angry faces, definitely NOT like other night clubs (in the best way). the only thing I hate was for the next couple of weeks I was worried I might get arrested for asking girls in the grocery store if it was ok to grope them, which means I was instantly addicted… luckily I was able to just look away at any cleavage in public like I'd done for the first 50 years of my life, but I dont know if i should ever go back. and I didnt realize my "welcome!" free pass expired in 30 days 🙁 but it was SO worth paying full price, so once i get over this, uh, hump, I'm looking forward to going back
• Wow, that's all I can say. Never been to anything like this before. My girlfriend and I decided we wanted so.e excellent and started searching. I can't imagine a cleaner, safer and more comfortable place. Staff super efficient and friendly. Everything was clean, drink prices reasonable for a club atmosphere and can't wait to go again.
