• I was excited to get a new vibrator after my old faithful died, I had it for over a decade so RIP! I was welcomed in to Romance Depot w/ friendly staff (on this day) everyone was so helpful in helping me find my new toy. They showed me that my product worked before leaving and I was excited to try it once I got home. I get home and it doesn’t work. So I called, to say it was defective. The person I spoke with said yes I remember you bring it in and we’ll replace it. The second one worked only for two uses and then played out exactly like the first one. (it’s giving the devices only work for a hot second before they play out, it as if they’re old or have been on the shelf forever) So I called and mentioned this situation and the manager said “that is impossible because we don’t do exchanges or returns”. I say to him “well, I in fact exchanged the product and they promised me the 2nd vibrator would work, is there any other employees there that I may speak with” and he responds “No I’m the Manager” which I think came off very rude and disrespectful. As a manager you should be more understanding if your products aren’t working. I just think there should be clearer messages or better polices in place about returns or exchanges especially for defective products. These sex toys are very expensive for us to pay out of pocket thinking we’re getting our money’s worth and the devices not work. I will never be supporting this store ever again and neither should you until they figure out why so many toys aren’t working. The policy of no exchanges or returns is just to cover their butt on the fact they KNOW their stuff don’t work. Don’t waste your money here!!
• Extremely Disappointed – Defective Product and Poor Customer Service I am beyond frustrated with my recent experience at Romance Depot. I purchased a toy for $124 that was supposed to vibrate with a rotating head—however, the rotating head does not work at all, making the product defective right out of the box. I called the store twice to resolve the issue. On the first call, I was told there are no returns or exchanges, even for defective items. On the second call, a different employee contradicted this and said exchanges are allowed if the product is defective. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was hung up on—twice. On my third attempt, my call was completely ignored. This kind of customer service is unacceptable, especially when dealing with high-priced products. I expected more professionalism and consistency. At the very least, defective items should be replaced without giving customers the runaround or cutting off communication.
• Charisse was warm and welcoming and made me feel totally comfortable shopping in the store. She was attentive throughout my shopping experience and helped me find the best bang for my buck. I will be back!
