- I love this place! Northern Pleasures is a must visit every time I come to Marquette. A different range of prices, I am alway able to find what I’m looking for. The guy in there was so helpful and knowledgeable. Helped me find the perfect toys in my price range. I really enjoy looking at everything in the store. For all my pleasure needs this is my favorite place.
- August 18, 2024 My wife and I walked in the door and the girl behind the counter was laying down sleeping. She was curled up under a blanket. She didn't wake up until her cell phone went off. When she did open her eyes it was just for a second, and back to sleep she went. We spent 20 minutes walking around the store, and she was asleep the entire time. Most overpriced shop I've ever been in. Would not recommend this place, and won't ever go back.
- I had to update my review cuz the quality of this store as gone down hill extensively in the past 2 years. Anything I’ve bought in the last year as broken after a couple days. It’s come to a head though when I tried to redeem my 1 year warranty on a wand. I explained over the phone the company was claiming i used a third party accessory which isn’t possible as now where near here even sold attachments. I explained the situation to Sam who was very kind and helpful. They fully understood on the phone of what I was saying of the company who would redeem the warranty was putting up a lot of red flags and I worry that the distributor was given a dupe product and they should follow up. As the toy itself got hot enough to cause burns and instead of the usual silicon the brand is known for it was a flimsy foam. I had fwd the email from the company to the store so they could figure out where the disconnect is. I had a message back telling me that the best the could do is give me a new one at 50% off with the more expensive toys is kinda unacceptable imo. the manager Evan claims he’s used the same brand and loves it which i guess good for you but felt really werid as it’s more a female toy. I don’t recommend buying toys from here as it seems they don’t care of the quality they sell I could’ve gotten better service from pure romance. It a plug into the wall wand that as no attachments and it’s motor got so hot it burned they don’t care about quality. Would add pics but not sure they are google review appropriate.

- If I’m in a pinch and need something it’s nice to have Northern Pleasures around. I will say though, today I went in with the intention of buying a $150 toy. I was going to buy it from this location because I wouldn’t have to pay shipping and wait a week. It’s awesome they carry this toy as it’s silicone and safe for the body BUT the safety seal was broken. I understand people wanting to actually touch and see the toy in their hand. Most shops will have sample toys under the counter for people to be able to see the product without actually opening the products on the shelve. If I am going to be buying a $150 toy, I don’t want anyone to have opened the sealed box and have touched it. First, it’s not sanitary. Second, if the toy was broken somehow, you can’t return sex toys. I went to the front counter to talk to the girl working and she didn’t seem generally interested in helping us out. I showed her the broken seal and asked if they had anymore. She told me they didn’t have anymore in stock. It would have been awesome if she asked if I wanted them to order one for me. I’d love to buy from a local business. So, love this shop, love the people who work the later shift, but wish there were more sanitary ways of going about business.
