- This is another one of for Battle Creek. That's why there's so many great reviews here, because clearly the majority of other reviewers haven't been to other similar places to compare it to. I go there for some skin mags occasionally, and to see the newest offering of videos. Ok, here's where I can't fairly be too critical, they do make use of their space and offer a good selection of all that they offer. The video booths? Their the stuff of unprovable rumors and such. They have to try and keep them clean being they are what they are, but you'll really have about a 50-50 chance there. People who I talk to are quite moody. Another 50-50 scenario. Half the time they'll be helpful and if not busy make small talk, the other half the time their stuck in a skin mag or watching a video (of predictable type) and are oblivious to customers even when there's literally only a few people there. Their also not too firm on the age policy. My nephew may be tall, but he otherwise has a youthful appearance to him and routinely joins me and my cousin (his dad) without question. I get the notion of parental consent, but as this place is what it is if you go to other similar places you'll find they don't follow that philosophy. Don't get me started on the crazy headaches out in the parking lot either. Stuff that they can and typically do write off as being "technically" not associated with them because the parking lot is "technically" not part of their business as it's not inside (obviously). The only redeeming quality here is again an admittedly decent selection of what they do have to offer and I suppose if you're restricted for some reason to the Battle Creek area that it's pretty much the only place like it in town. I ain't mad at this type of business. One's in K-zoo, Albion, Lansing, etc are far better. So go there? Yup, living between K-zoo & BC means for me that's an option, and going to other one's is what I most commonly do anymore. I return here a couple times a year primarily to see if anything has improved. Admittedly it hasn't gotten worse, but they seem content with how things are. And with a load of other positive comments I expect they'll continue to maintain that outlook, thus being impervious to change.
