Gwen assisted me in my search for specific items and offered a number of alternative suggestions. I was looking for two items, but actually bought three. Thanks Gwen! I will definitely be back.

  • Unfortunately, I have had to change my review, due the events following… …when we (me & my boyfriend) visited the store to purchase specific outfits for a themed party we were attending the following weekend. Our shopping experience was fantastic & the clerks (a female with short hair AND a male with longer hair) were both jovial and engaged us in friendly conversation during the checkout process. I even remember the topic of our palaver, the "fun" of training new employees. During our discussion the male clerk asked my boyfriend if he wanted a receipt and my boyfriend, having been caught off guard by the question, replied that he guessed he didn't need one as we were paying with Venmo & therefore would have a receipt of sale through the Venmo app if there was an issue. At this, neither clerk responded so we took our purchases & were on our way. The next day we were informed that the theme for the party was changed but, luckily, color was the only issue concerning our apparel. We were too busy that day to stop into the store to exchange for the correct colored clothes so we decided to go the following day & do just that. I also remember our concern regarding the receipt but we both remembered the visit so fondly & recalled them mentioning training someone because there were so few people needed for operation. We assured ourselves that at least ONE of the clerks would be there & (hopefully) remember us from the day before OR we could show them our (unopened) merchandise while explaining our situation & maybe let us at least exchange them for the correct color. We were delighted to see the same female clerk when we entered the shop & having not even taken our purchases out of the vehicle let alone out of the bag we brought the signature Cirilla's bag to the counter ready to tell her our dilemma & have her help us decide on the next plan of action. But before we could even say hello she pointedly said there was nothing she could do. When we tried to ask if there was anything or anyone else who could help & TRIED to explain the situation she coldly & quickly cut us off & said that without a receipt she could do nothing. It was as if the courteous salesperson from the day before last never existed or became a completely different person. We then suggested that they train their new employees to NOT give an option for a receipt while making the decision to never shop there again. We have since not gone back to that particular specialty shop & have shared the details of our experience with our (many) mutual, like-minded friends & acquaintances.
